The Easton EA70 Seatpost rivals the Thomson Elite Setback in the lightweight/value battle. While it lacks the machined aesthetic so loved by Thomson fans and instead has a more industrial peened finish on its forged aluminum clamp head and Taperwall shaft, the EA70 offers one distinct benefit. Since the 10mm of setback is achieved at the head of the post, there is no maximum insertion limit. Like all of Easton"s seatposts, this one uses a two-bolt clamp design for infinite saddle tilt adjustability and security against mid-ride surprises. The 10mm clamp offset bridges the middle ground between a zero setback model and the 16mm offered on the Thomson setback.
